About Us:

If you can imagine it, we can create it. Saralaine Designs is a partnership between Elaine Palance and Sarah Pennington located in Boerne, Texas. We specialize in home décor.

Saralaine Designs is the combination of two talented women who enjoy the creative art of fabric design. Using their attention to detail and out of the box thinking, one-of-a-kind ideas flourish. Elaine Palance had a successful design career and studio in California for 35 years. Relocating in Boerne in 2013, Elaine and Sarah met. Discovering myriads of common interests, a partnership with Sarah has added a fresh scope to the business.

Sarah has always been creative and she had a very successful 26 year career at USAA. After retiring, she joined Elaine, and they focus on their proven artistic talents with sewing machines and love of textiles.

Draperies/Curtains/Bed Ensembles

Windows come in all sizes especially those in custom homes. We will measure and help you decide your theme, style and fabric. We handle the installation and finish your final hem in your house to ensure the perfect length.
We know mattresses and beds come in all sizes and heights. We can create a perfect fit wiht your chosen fabrics creating the sanctuary you deserve. Let us help you make your ideas a reality.

Custom Aprons

Hostess aprons, holiday aprons, and mother-daughter sets--designed with detail, personality, and pockets for practicality. Tell us the occasion, and we'll create a custom piece just for you.
Speciality - Mother/Daughter, Grandmother/granddaughter aprons for all occasions. What better way to commemorate those special memories with a matching set of aprons. Just name your holiday, occasion and size for the apron. We can custom make them for you, your children, or the man in your life!

Custom Pillows & Cushions

Pillows: Luxurious, decorative pillows that brignten your space, we design with high-quality fabrics and your palette in mind. Our pillows are custom designed, featuring fabrics, trims and motifs from all over the world. We will collaborate based on your personal style to make one-of-a-kind designer pillows.

Outdoor cushions: We take your tired outdoor cushions, and turn them into a dream outdoor space. Complete your outdoor settings with beautifully coordinated outdoor cushions, matching tablecloths and placemats. We use premium outdoor fabrics, and your choice of colors, to compliment your space.

Totebags & Crossbody Bags

Totebags: Through Elaine and Sarah's study of simple tote bags and crossbody bags, they came up with a design of beautiful, fun, yet functional bags that are full of pockets to keep you organized while staying fashionable! We work with our clients to design their own custom bags loaded with pockets!

Boerne Dickens on Main Couture

Dickens Couture: Stand out with style and story. We design custom gowns for special events such as Dickens on Main. We can alter or embellish your existing formal gown, taking it to new heights and making it the perfect outfit for your special occasion. We can complete your couture look with hats, capes, and muffs.

Special Projects

From time to time we are asked to work on unique projects, a specialy niche that only our creativity can fill.

* Zebra rug-Mounted the hide on a leather backing to preserve the condition and shape of the rug.

* Shower Curtains: With high ceilings in mind, we will make custom shower curtains tall enough to fit into your beautiful home. We will match painted or wall papered walls with fabrics for shower curtains and can customize your towels coordinating your decor.

* Tablecloths * Tablerunners * etc: We can custom make your tablecloths, napkins, and table runners, to fit any table size. Holidays and special occasions, indoors or outdoors, always inspire your special visions to bring them to life.

* Memory Quilts: We were asked to create a memory quilt for a customer who lost her husband. She wanted to give the quilts to her late husband's children. She gave us his shirts to make the quilts out of. We inquired what his hobbies were and she told us Baseball and Horseracing. We made one side of the quilt with blocks of fabric from his shirts, cut out baseballs and appliqued them in between the squares and bordered it in baseball bats. The other side of devoted to Horseracing finding Triple Crown Winner fabric and bordered it with the winner's circle horses with laurels. We also put a small signature piece that was embroidered with "Love Papa". Upon receiving the quilts, she was very emotional about the memories with him and said his children loved the quilts and they would be special keepsakes forever.
